Bring your raw file.
Supported today: 23andMe and AncestryDNA raw text files. MyHeritage, FamilyTreeDNA, and VCF files are on the way.
How to get your raw file
- 1. Ask your provider for your raw data. Sign in to 23andMe, AncestryDNA, or whoever ran your test and look for "Download raw data." If you tested through a doctor or lab, just email them and ask for your raw DNA data file — a .txt file is best, a PDF works too.
- 2. Save it to your computer or phone. It usually arrives as a .txt file, sometimes inside a .zip. You do not need to open it — it will look like rows of letters and numbers, and that is normal.
- 3. Click "Upload my raw file" below and pick that file. Tick the two boxes, then press "Read my file."
Do not have it yet? You can still look at a sample report while you wait.
